Family: Bunnell

This in-home family session was a dream come true!

I was just a little excited about the sheer amount of natural light that streamed into Kurt & Brittany's bedroom, setting the stage for a soft, simple and stunning family session. Sometimes all you need is one room with great light to capture all the moments you're hoping for!

Little Cora was a complete angel and didn't seem to mind the outfit changes and positioning that comes with being on camera... her big brother was also a great helper and followed directions as well as any two year old can! You can tell from the images that Ben is a sweet and caring boy and he truly loves his little sister.

Congratulations to this sweet family of four!

Engaged: Joseph & Shauna

The empty streets of Downtown Tacoma were the perfect backdrop for this urban engagement session! These two got to sneak in a date without the kids and capture some memories of this special time in their lives before they officially tie the knot this summer. The weather was miraculous too - the forecast predicted rain that would steadily increase throughout our session, when in reality it did the opposite and faded to dry skies as the afternoon progressed! We were all quite thankful for that!

We had a great time capturing several different looks in our short time together. The geometric steel of the bridge complimented Shauna's edgy style and the vibrant fall leaves went perfectly with the cozy plaid outfits they changed into! Shauna also brought lots of ideas to the session a la Pinterest and we did our best to recreate some of the shots she found! She and Joseph were so natural together that I know already they will be easy and enjoyable subjects to capture on their wedding day! I'm greatly looking forward to spending more time with them!

Family: Cantu

This sweet family was full of love and fun! They wanted some updated pictures of their whole family so we snatched up the opportunity while everyone was in town! We traipsed around the Point Defiance Rose Garden area for their session and found so many beautiful places to take pictures! The roses were in bloom and the dahlias were just starting to peek out, making for some gorgeous color variety!

Ramona arranged everyone's outfits and I love the colors she came up with! I wish I could make a coral dress look as good as Kaily can! And isn't little Zarina the cutest?! She was the star of the show! I cannot get enough of the shots we got of her with her daddy-prince at the end of our time together! Too much!

You can truly tell through these pictures how much this family adores each other. It never felt awkward asking them to snuggle a little closer or to be silly with one another. They were so at ease in front of the camera and with each other and we had a great time laughing together! There is so much to learn from an adult family who cares for each other like this!
